Short Biography

Gunnar Jeremias is research fellow and doctoral candidate at the Research Group for Biological Arms Control. Gunnar holds a diploma (MA) in political sciences and a post gradual MA in Peace and Security Studies. Before he started working for the Research Group Gunnar conducted a number of research projects in the area of bioethics at the Research Centre for Biotechnology, Society and the Environment and worked as a researcher at Greenpeace, where he was involved in preparing campaigns against the use of nuclear energy.

Since June 2008 Gunnar holds a two year grant from Mac Arthur Foundation to work towards the development of a global Trade Monitoring System for BW related items. Besides its policy building perspective the study will as well be part of his Ph.D. dissertation.
