Short Biography

Anna Magdalena Zmorzynska, born in 1981 in Warsaw, Poland, studied Biochemistry/Molecular biology at the University of Hamburg. Her final thesis, on HIV-Inhibition, was written in cooperation with the Department of Virology at the Bernhard-Nocht- Institute for tropical medicine in Hamburg in 2006. She joined the Hamburg Research Group for Biological Arms Control in October 2006 first working on the project for Strengthening the Confidence Building Measures mechanism under the framework of the Biological Weapons Convention. Since 2007 Anna Zmorzynska is working on research projects on dual-use aspects of the modern lifesciences and on biosecurity and biosafety regulations.
